LOVED singing this jingle at John Wagner Recording Studios for the Presbyterian Hospital birthing rooms. My son, Daniel, was about a year old when I sang this, so it was easy to get into the feeling just for him! A few years later I performed it with John at the Highland Theater (shown here) for a huge benefit gala star-studded evening!
If The Wailin' Jennies and Loudon Wainwright had triplets they might sound something like JeeZ LaWeeZ. This all-female trio does an eclectic mix of smart-alecky originals and tangy interpretations from Bach to Talking Heads. All seasoned pros, these gals are clearly still in touch with their inner Wild Child. Come for the luscious 3-part harmonies, stay for the bodacious get-ups and the chance to ask, "Did she just say what I think she said?" Yes, she did.
Recorded by Katryn F. at the Prairie Star Restaurant. She happened to video this one on a good "sound" night where the the performance was "almost" perfect, the PA sounded great and the audience was utterly silent..... Halleluia!
"Baggage Blues". Katie Gill, Nancy Harvin, and Amy Blackburn of the all girl band GeeZ LaWeez performing on a variety of instruments and entertaining us with their great humor and charisma at the Tijeras Arts Market. The arts market is adjacent to Just Imagine Gallery & Coffee House who sponsors the juried arts and crafts show.
John Wagner made many wonderful videos back when he was promoting original music and the local musicians who performed in and around Albuquerque. Circa 1996
Belen Center for Spiritual Living. This was a fun Sunday service with QUALITY -- better than quantity -- people! They always made me feel right at home.
